What does the post-op check-up include?

• Examination of the socket, gums, and surrounding tissues
• Identification of any signs of inflammation, infection, or delayed healing
• If necessary – additional cleaning, antiseptic application, or prescription medication

Suture removal
If stitches were placed, they are removed during this follow-up visit. The procedure is painless, quick (just a few minutes), and does not require anaesthesia.
It’s important not to leave sutures in for too long, as this may cause irritation or delay tissue regeneration.

After removing the sutures, the dentist will provide personalised instructions for ongoing care and complete healing of the extraction site.
